Dr. Hinkes has worked in private practice, extended care and rehabilitation facilities, for managed care organizations, as well as in private, public and VA hospitals. He has treated thousands of people, helping them to regain their foot health; and many of those people have had complications related to diabetes.

When he is not in the clinic, he spends a portion of his time writing about foot health issues, to educate more people with diabetes about preventing the complications of diabetes to their feet so they can enjoy a healthier lifestyle that goes with it.
